Our laboratory management software ranges from different types of biobanks for the management and characterization of samples to a classic laboratory information management system (LIMS) with 25 years of experience. In the current version, this LIMS is currently one of the most modern systems on the market.
In addition, we offer a configurable EDC system for the documentation of survey data as part of (research) projects and support our customers with various services.

BIOBANK
BioArchive is a cloud-based biobank for sample management. BioArchive offers an integrated laboratory journal (ELN), is ISO 9001 certified and also features study management, sample reservation, project management, a search engine, an electronic signature and more.
BioARCHIVE CRYO is a web-based software for doctors who perform treatments with sperm and/or run sperm banks. The software is used to digitally support the entire process from making the donation to receiving the donation.

Covid 19 pandemic
In the school project, more than 730,000 students in almost 3,800 primary and special schools in NRW are tested for the corona virus twice a week in their study groups. The testing is initially carried out in groups (“pool testing”). Only when a group has tested positive are individual tests carried out on the group members. The schools carry out the tests and the samples are examined at a total of 12 large laboratories. The samples are sent to the laboratories anonymously under a sample number, so that the laboratory does not know who it is.

Lims in the lab
Luke Hesson is Garvan’s cancer diagnostics lab manager. According to Luke, the challenge was that the lab would be able to handle the amount of samples – potentially 1000+ per year. “We need to know at all times where each sample is in the testing process.
